I know what you are thinking. Tarvaris Jackson had a good game in relief against the Bills a bit over a week ago (week 13). He was 15-22 with 187 yards passing and two touchdowns. Jackson added 22 yards rushing on two carries that game. Everyone jumping on that bandwagon wants to forget those three interceptions. If I were him, I’d want to forget them, too. Last night, we saw the real T-Jax who was 15-30 with 110 yards passing and an interception against a good defense. The Bills prepared for their week 13 game with Brett Farve at the helm. The Giants had film and a better defense to go against Jackson in week 14. If an offensive guru like Brad Childress had to bring in an aging Farve, how much fantasy stock should you put in T-Jax? I wouldn’t put much.
The new second string QB, Joe Webb, looked a bit lost last night. The former signal caller from University of Alabama at Birmingham is a great athlete. Webb proved that in college while being scouted by most teams as a late round WR, not at QB. He was very successful in Conference USA, but this is the NFL. With the 2010 season going as badly as it is, don’t be surprised if the Viking go all in with a rookie QB like Ryan Mallett, Jake Locker or Cam Newton.
As a dynasty owner, I would let someone else take a chance on Tarvaris Jackson or Joe Webb.
