The NFL Combine gives dynasty fantasy football fans their first glimpse on whether a player can translate college production into relevant fantasy points.  There weren’t any major spoilers combinerevealed, but some rushers impressed (stock up) while many stayed the same or failed to make a good impression (stock down).  Please remember the NFL Combine has already committed to tweaking their events to better translate to the game of football, instead of being about the highly measured 40 yard runs and 225 lb. bench presses.  Here are my initial thoughts:

-Peyton Barber looked muscular, was a bit stiff, showed off soft hands, but ran a 4.64 40 (stock slightly down).

-Alex Collins was not accustomed to catching the ball, used his body to much, while trying to double and triple grab it (stock slightly down, but didn’t really catch the pigskin in college).

-Marshaun Coprich has huge legs, changes directions effortlessly, and tracks the ball well in the air (stock slightly up).

-Ezekiel Elliot glides while sinking his hips, tracks the ball well, but lets the ball into his body (remains the best back in this class).

-Tyler Ervin is a smooth runner, busted out the second fastest 40, has soft hands, and dove for a successful worm burner reception (stock up).

-Derrick Henry is a big muscular guy whom the NFLN wants to compare with LaGarrette Blount (he is better than that), and caught the ball well.

-Jordan Howard looked a bit robotic in his movement, but looked better catching the ball than I thought he would.

-Daniel Lasco glided up and down the field with showing off soft hands, but looked like the thinnest back out there (stock slightly up).

-Keith Marshall ran the fastest 40 of his group, showed off quick feet and change of direction (stock up).

-CJ Prosise played smooth while showing off soft hands (did not disappoint).

-Kelvin Taylor ran slow 40 (4.58) and fought the ball into his body (stock down).

-DeAndre Washington has a good muscular build, shows off quick feet/change of direction, and caught the ball well in stride (stock up).

Thanks for reading.
