After the second day of the NFL Draft, fantasy dynasty owners now have more questions than answers concerning the Titans receiving corps, and the Lions and Browns running back roles.  I will maxxtake a quick review of what occurred and how it looks like it will affect your dynasty teams.  Players got listed in the order of selection in the NFL Draft:

2nd round

S Landon Collins, NYG

This physical player will be an instant impact player as the starter day one of mini-camps.  Collins should see plenty of tackle opportunities in the running and passing games with a not so impressive linebacker corps.

RB TJ Yeldon, Jacksonville

He is a quick footed runner, who can be a three down back for the Jaguars.  The back has good balance, sees the field well, moves great laterally, and has a nose for the end zone.

WR Devin Smith, NYJ

Now the Jets have a deep threat.  Smith can get behind a defense quickly and will help out on special teams.  Might take some time to get on the field.

WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Tennessee

This troubled, talented receiver could become what the Titans hoped they had with Justin Hunter aka a physical deep threat.  Marcus Mariota needs weapons and Titans defense needs work so shootouts could be coming.

WR Devin Funchess, Carolina

Looks like he will be a wide receiver in Carolina, instead of a joker tight end.  Although he seems a bit slow, Funchess has good footwork and will give Cam Newton another huge target.

LB Benardrick McKinney, Houston

The Texans needed a physical backer who is good against the run and can rush the passer.  They found their man in McKinney.  Look for him to secure one of the starting ILB spots.

LB Eric Kendricks, Minnesota

This athletic, tackling machine should supplant Chad Greenway as the premier talent at the position.  Of course now he gets to play beside former college teammate Anthony Barr.

LB/DE Nate Orchard, Cleveland

Orchard is a better pass rusher than run stopper, but should slide right in game one for the Browns.  Would be happy having him as a DE4.

RB Ameer Abdullah, Detroit

This puts a dent in the value of Theo Riddick, but Abdullah has great hands, good lateral quickness, and vision.  He runs hard, but has issues pass blocking and had some fumbling issues in the past.

TE Maxx Williams, Baltimore

The best tight end in the class went to the team with the biggest need.  Williams should start from day one and should become a top ten player by the year’s end.

3rd round

WR Tyler Lockett, Seattle

While he isn’t the biggest receiver, he has great quicks and could become what the Seahawks hoped they had in Percy Harvin.  Lockett isn’t as muscular as Harvin and does suffer from some double-catching, but should be contributor right away.

WR Jaelen Strong, Houston

The rumors of a wrist injury caused him to drop a little in the draft.  While he isn’t the most fluid athlete, Strong can make contested catches, especially in the red zone.  The rookie should be a nice complement to DeAndre Hopkins.

RB Tevin Coleman, Atlanta

This explosive straight ahead rusher is more physical than Devonta Freeman and should start right away.  He could see a lot of open lanes with the Falcons explosive passing game occupying defensive coordinators.

WR Chris Conley, Kansas City

This athletic playmaker got stuck in a run-based offense in Georgia.  Now he finds himself in an Andy Reid run-based offense with Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis, good dynasty stash, but not a lot of opportunities in the near future.

RB Duke Johnson, Cleveland

Just what the doctor ordered, a wide out that can stretch the field or a tight end that can eat up the middle of the field..ooopps.  The Browns now have a third cog at running back to compete with West and Crowell aka fantasy mess.

OLB Eli Harold, San Francisco

Underrated outside backer who is a good pass rusher with a good first step while bringing speed and toughness to a new look 49ers linebacker corps.

RB David Johnson, Arizona

This versatile weapon could be a three down runner or warg himself into a wide out or h-hack depending on the offensive coordinator’s whim.

WR Sammie Coates, Pittsburgh

My Steelers needed another big play receiver/downfield threat with questionable hands?  I compared him to Martavis Bryant and now they are teammates.

WR Ty Montgomery, Green Bay

He is very athletic, but isn’t much of a wide receiver at this time.  Montgomery can be a good gadget player who returning punts/kickoffs and takes an occasional reverse or bubble screen 50+ yards.  Only draft him in deep leagues or ones that reward return yardage.
