Here at dynasty blitz, I will watch every preseason game and let my readers known what I’m seeing. The NFL landscape is fluid, so please keep in mind that this is only the first week. My concentration was on the younger players and/or new 
team additions. Here are some quick observations after watching the first half of each game:
49ers/Ravens
LB Chris Borland, SF- The young backer got the start beside Michael Wilhoite. He looked a bit overwhelmed with the speed of the game, and got knocked around the line of scrimmage. It may take some time with him.
WR Bruce Ellington, SF- He returned the first two kickoffs and demonstrated good vision with quick cuts. The rookie wide out did not see any offensive targets with the first team or the second team to my knowledge.
RB Carlos Hyde, SF- The former Buckeye started the game for Frank Gore. The runner showed a good combination of quickness and power on outside and inside plays. His blitz pickup was a bit ugly, but effective.
TE Vance McDonald, SF- What a difference a year makes, the second year tight end moved all around the formation: fullback, wingback, and inline. McDonald had a nice wheel route pitch and catch down the field.
LB CJ Mosley, BAL- The rookie linebacker went up and down the field showing a lot of hustle. He played the entire first half and looked good rushing the passer, getting in a nice sack towards the end of the first half.
RB Bernard Pierce, BAL- While Ray Rice looked quick with his few carries, Pierce showed power with his. This battering ram likes to hit people and had quick feet running up the middle.
Cowboys/Chargers
RB Donald Brown, SD- The newly signed back ran well with the twos. He looked explosive with quick feet and ran what got blocked.
TE Gavin Escobar, DAL- Here is another tight end that looked improved from last season. Escobar got used in a move tight end role and reminded me a bit of a young Vincent Jackson on a few plays.
RB Marion Grice, SD- The rookie back looked small in his début. He ran too high near the goal line towards the end of the second quarter and averaged an abysmal 2.5 yards per carry.
RB Joseph Randle, DAL- When it comes to running outside, the second year back looks explosive. However, an NFL back is also required to run inside, which is where Randle still struggles.
WR Terrance Williams, DAL- The second year receiver appeared ready to make the transition to become a bigger offensive weapon. He fully extends to make catches in the middle of the field when necessary.
