Here is another one of the recent dynasty fantasy football teams that I built (start up in late February with the rookie draft in May). I am the commissioner of this 14 team league and recruited most of the owners. There are a few luminary 
Tweeters in this league like Brian Quinlan aka @The_Street_FA . The PPR fantasy scoring features a tiered scoring: .5 pts for running backs, 1 pts for wide receivers, 1.5 pts for tight ends. Passing touchdowns are worth 5 pts and all others are worth 6 pts. It is tackle heavy scoring with return/rushing/receiving yardage all worth .1 pts per yard and passing is .05 pts per yard. For the IDPs, it is a tackle heavy scoring system. This is a super-flex league so every owner has a lot of flexibility: 1-2 QBs, 2-3 RBs, 3-4 WRs, 1-2 TEs, 2-3 DLs, 3-4 LBs, and 2-3 DBs. QBs- Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger, Bruce Gradkowski, Mark Sánchez, Ryan Griffin (start 1-2)
Since the draft got held before Newton’s injury and the NFL reveal of their schedule, I am happy with my starting quarterbacks. Both can put up top ten numbers with one still reasonably young (Newton is 25) and Big Ben, who is 32, has another three to four years left of high fantasy production. Since Roethlisberger did not get injured last season, I thought he played on borrowed time so I grabbed Gradkowski. The only two quality backup quarterbacks on the waiver wire were Sánchez and Griffin. Obviously Griffin is more of a project, but I will need to start one of them Week 12, because the Steelers and Panthers share the same bye week this season.
RBs- Zac Stacy, Shane Vereen, Fred Jackson, Bernard Pierce, Jeremy Hill, James Starks, CJ Anderson, Storm Johnson, Lorenzo Taliferro (start 2-3)
This is the weakest spot on my roster. I took a lot chances with these backs and if I am lucky, two of them will pan out each week. Stacy was a solid draft pick in February, but come rookie draft time, the Tre Mason selection made the second year runner’s value tumble a bit. Vereen is a solid receiver and runner, but may have his chances of sticking on the roster past 2014 diminished by the NFL Draft as well. Jackson could well be on his last legs depending on who you read, but should still have a few valuable games. With the Ray Rice suspension, Pierce’s value increased and I also decided to double down with Taliferro in the rookie draft. Depending on the Rice ruling, Pierce could start multiple games and may or may not hold onto the job long-term. The rookie Hill might be a bye week starter with his lower body explosion on a rumored to be run first team. Starks, Anderson, and Johnson are all talented backups that may find themselves starting games in 2014 or shortly afterwards.
WRs- Antonio Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills, Tavon Austin, Harry Douglas, Marquess Wilson, Jared Abbrederis, John Brown (start 3-4)
I really like my wide outs. Brown might not be a true WR1 in most people’s view, but with the addition of punt/kickoff yardage, he is worth that in this scoring. Fitzgerald is getting older, but can still produce for the next several seasons. As you have already read, I enjoy having both Cooks and Stills on the same high-powered Brees led offense. Austin has plenty of upside on the offensive side and get helped by the return yardage scoring. Douglas proved himself to be a yardage and catch monster in a bigger role last season, so he might be a decent fill-in at times. Wilson, Abbrederis, and Brown are all future investments.
TEs- Zach Ertz, Jermaine Gresham, Mychal Rivera, Chris Gragg (start 1-2)
The position I waited the longest one was tight end and it shows. Ertz could emerge as the TE1 for Philly this season or not. Gresham is probably playing his last season for the Bengals, but he is a solid two-way tight end that should start for a different team in 2015. Rivera had a solid season in 2013, but might get pushed by the oft injured David Ausberry. I totally discounted Ausberry, but then again how many times do you handcuff your tight end? Gragg is physical freak that might not make the Buffalo team.
No kicker league!
DLs- Rob Ninkovich, Sheldon Richardson, Michael Johnson, Darnell Dockett, Andre Branch, Dion Jordan (start 2-3)
There are no superstars on my defensive line, but they are all solid contributors who are better run stoppers than pass rushers. I think I have a good mix of youth and experience. Jordan’s suspension does not help, but I have enough room at the end of my bench to wait it out.
LBs- Paul Posluszny, Jerrell Freeman, Tamba Hali, Brad Jones, Kevin Minter, Zach Brown, Jason Worilds, KJ Wright, Christian Kirksey, Marcus Smith, Preston Brown (start 3-4)
My linebackers are a hodge-podge of youth and veterans. Poz, Freeman, and Hali have a few years left of good production. Jones missed a few games and wasn’t as productive he was in 2012, much like Brown and Wright. Minter was a wildcard pick who might be the best defender on the Cardinals due to suspensions and injury. Worilds came on the back half of last season, will his production continue? Hopefully, I will not need to start any of my three rookies, but I feel all three will be thrust into the starting lineup before December. Either Jones, Brown, or Wright will need to return to form this season.
DBs-Antrel Rolle, Jairus Byrd, Lamarcus Joyner, Robert McClain (start 2-3)
I have a solid, but unspectacular group of defensive backs. Rolle might lead the Giants in tackles and Byrd could lead the Saints in big defensive plays. Joyner should be the glue in the Rams backend and McClain will see plenty of targets as the nickel corner facing off against the likes of the high-powered Saints.
Chance to win the league: I feel good about a playoff run, if my RBs and TEs shake out, what happens after that is out of my hands.
