For the rest of December I will review several skill positions and try to decide their fantasy role for 2012.  It has been a season filled with great performances and utter disappointments from the rookie wide receivers.  After 14 weeks, this is as good of a time as any to find out what we learned so far.  Enjoy!

AJ Green

2011 stats through Week 14:  55 catches for 891 yards, 7 TDs and 3 for 28 rushing

Current role: Starter (the 14th ranked wide receiver in PPR scoring)

2012 expectations:  AJ Green is a top 5 dynasty WR right now.  I know the loftiest of expectations.  Green makes the rest of his team better as Andy Dalton is not a top 15 QB without him and Cedric Benson wouldn’t get above 70 yards in a game either.  Green has shown he can glide down the field, catch the ball at the highest point, and contort his body in any way necessary to make the catch.  He uses the sideline well to set up defenders.  In 2012, Green should increase his numbers as a result of the more time that Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden works with Andy Dalton.
