Andy Dalton stiff arm

Every week I will take a look at the rookie players to gage how some of the rookies were used. Then I will try to decide if these rookies are worth picking up from your waiver wire or if you should try to trade for them.

When Roy Helu makes a start, he does it in a grand way.  Helu might be the new “Captain Checkdown” recipient.  He was targeted 17 times, caught 14 balls with 105 yards receiving.  He also ran for 41 yards on 10 carries.  If John Beck continues to QB the Redskins, Helu will have good value.  Hold if you have him, but as with Shannahangins everything can change in a Washington minute..whooo hooo.

Delone Carter had the first 2 carries of the game, then on the second carry he fumbled and then didn’t come back until the 4th quarter.  I am slowly losing faith in Carter as he can’t handle the pressure at this point.  If Manning or Luck is at the helm in 2012, Carter could rebound.  Otherwise, leave him on your bench and do not pick him up unless you have a lot of spare room on your roster.  For the rest click here: http://www.fantasyalarm.com/rookie-report-week-9/

I didn’t watch the entire game and focused more on Helu, but I will make sure I have something to report next week.
