David Spade in the All-New Challenger

In this weekly column, I will explore some young players that may have not made much of an impact to date.  Some players may be available on your waiver wire; some may be available via a cheap/moderate trade.  Acquiring these players could decide how well your dynasty/keeper team does for the next few years.

I’m going to start with a painful one Curtis Painter.  He may look like David Spade, but I assure you, he is no David Spade.  His 43% completion rate isn’t impressive, but the 281 passing yards and 2 TDs are good for a first start.  It is more about the weapons he has to work with: Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Dallas Clark, and Austin Collie.  If Painter can hold onto the job, he might get an opportunity down the road.  Peyton Manning is not getting any younger.
