In this weekly column, I will explore some young players that may have not made much of an impact to date. Some players may be available on your waiver wire; some may be available via a cheap/moderate trade. Acquiring these players could decide how well your dynasty/keeper team does for the next few years.
I’m going to start with a painful one Curtis Painter. He may look like David Spade, but I assure you, he is no David Spade. His 43% completion rate isn’t impressive, but the 281 passing yards and 2 TDs are good for a first start. It is more about the weapons he has to work with: Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Dallas Clark, and Austin Collie. If Painter can hold onto the job, he might get an opportunity down the road.
